Copywriter
Copywriter needed to write a variety of marketing materials such as articles, ads, promotional emails, and more in Alpha Omega Publication's Iowa office. Must have 2-3 years copy writing experience. We are looking for applicants with a background in education, especially those who have taught.
This person will work within the Creative Marketing Group to develop, write, maintain, and catalog copy for a variety of purposes. This person will generate new copy as well as work with existing copy on our website, brochures, and on related marketing material to create a strong and consistent image of our products and company.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an enthusiastic and team-oriented work ethic with the flexibility and willingness to take on any task. Candidates also must be resourceful and intuitive problem solvers with strong written and verbal communication skills. In addition, qualified applicants should be detail-oriented, display a forward-thinking and positive outlook, have the ability to multitask, and offer strategic creative solutions for emerging forms of e-communication.
This position calls for collaboration within the Creative Marketing Group, other departments, colleagues, and business partners to determine goals and timelines. Candidates must be self-starters who show the initiative in finding and communicating the information and details related to all projects. Competitive salary and a benefits package are offered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create, develop and write a variety of marketing materials and deliverables.
• Ability to take ideas from concept to execution in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to transform raw statistical data into a compelling story.
• Experience in writing headlines, impactful calls-to-actions, emails, websites, banner ads, and PPC ad copy.
• Ability to effectively manage time, projects, deadlines, and schedules.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Experience with new media initiatives, such as blogs, newsletters, email marketing, and webinars.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have 2-3 years copy writing experience, past teaching experience is beneficial. Experience in editing, and/or marketing is also a plus.
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced with SEO best practices and social media.
