Course Descriptions
Geography
World Geography: Focuses on geographic distinctives around the globe, including geographical and climatic impacts on lifestyles of world social groups.
American Geography: Focuses on geographic distinctives and impacts in America.
History
World History: Traces the development of civilizations, including key historical personalities and cultural distinctives; always incorporates related Biblical history.
American History: Traces the development of American civilization and focuses on Christian leaders and Christian influence. Emphasizes how many scientists, inventors, politicians and explorers were believers.
Social Studies Skills
Map Reading, including the making of maps, the history of maps, the importance of maps
Research Skills, including writing reports. Weaver students are not provided with the answer, they are taught how to find the answer.
Sciences
All sciences are taught using activities whenever possible. Biology, botany, geology, and all areas of life science and physical science are covered in-depth. Science studies are related to the Bible theme in each chapter.
Language and Grammar
Language is taught in every chapter and related to the Biblical theme. Famous poems, songs, writings, authors and poets are studied in the historical context of the theme. Grammar is thoroughly covered and meets the standard for each grade level.
Special Topics
Health and Safety
Family management and structure
Financial Management (checkbook, banking & investments). Finances are taught with a Biblical perspective, including detailed lessons on tithing.
