Seven Ways Dads Affect Homeschooling

When it comes to homeschooling, do you ever wonder what a father's role is supposed to be? As a homeschooling father, my initial response toward the responsibility of my children's education was simply to work hard at my job and be a good provider. However, as the years went by and our family developed a routine, I began to contribute more to each day's activities at home.

Although I made plenty of mistakes along the way, I learned the tremendous importance of my active involvement as a homeschool dad. Here are seven wonderful ways fathers can affect their children's educational success:

What a wonderful blessing this was to me. I smiled and nodded \"yes\" all the way through. I feel that I am to pray for this wisdom to be shared with my wonderful husband. He so struggles with all of the difficulties mentioned here. I know it\'s his heart\'s desire to support our homeschooling but he is so lost with \"how.\" Thank you Lord and AOP for sharing this. We are so looking forward to this coming school year as we become new Monarch/SOS users! What a true blessing!

I particularly liked the 7th way mentioned in your post since Fathers have a profound effect on their children\'s emotional life. I also want to point out that there are a lot of Fathers who do the teaching. In my household, I own a business and have the time to do the teaching, but as you mention only 20% is academics. The emotional and thoughtful examples of Christ created through prayer are the best lessons.
