Behind the Name

“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold” (Proverbs 22:1).

“What’s in a name?” pined Juliet as she wished her new-found Romeo possessed any other surname than Montague. “That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”

Likewise, at AOP we like to think our parents and students would enjoy our homeschool curriculum no matter the product name that appears on the screen or box. Still, over the course of 45 years, we’ve put a lot of thought into the names of our company and curriculum you’ve used and grown to love.

AOP

At Alpha Omega Publications, we wear our name proudly because we believe God is the beginning and the end of everything, especially our education. We believe God is the creator of everything and that to pursue truth is to pursue God. At AOP, our goal is to help children grow not only in their educational goals, but even more importantly, in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Monarch

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). Written by Apostle Paul, this verse provides the foundation for our online education for grades 3-12 rooted in God’s Word. Like the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly, our lives can be transformed through the knowledge that Jesus Christ is our personal Lord and Savior.

LIFEPAC

The original flagship product of AOP, LIFEPAC is an acronym that stands for Learning Individually For Excellence Promotes Academic Confidence. Broken into units that can be completed in 3 weeks or less, LIFEPAC gives students in grades K-12 a sense of accomplishment upon completion of each unit and helps students master content at their own pace.

Horizons

Like a new day produces light from a dark night, as Christians we are called to “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Featuring two acclaimed preschool programs, Horizons is there for homeschool parents at the dawn of their child’s education.

Ignite Christian Academy

Formerly known as Alpha Omega Academy, Ignite Christian Academy is the new name of our K-12 online schools that reflects our mission to challenge and inspire all learners to succeed. As a result, we hope to ignite a passion in our students to impact the world for the sake of God’s glory.
