DIY Father’s Day Pop-Up Card with Free Printable Icons

The most thoughtful gift for Father’s Day can often be something you create yourself. Use our free printable icons to help you create a DIY pop-up card to celebrate Father’s Day and let him know just how much he means to you.

Suggested Materials
4.5”x6.25” Cardstock
5.5”x8” Cardstock
Pencil
Markers
Ruler
Glue
Scissors
Printable Icons

Instructions
Step 1: Take a piece of 4.5”x6.25” cardstock and fold it in half.

Step 2: On the outside of your folded paper, use a pencil to draw cut lines. (The lines made on this one were spaced 1 inch from the outside of the paper.)

Step 3: Make 4 cuts, using the lines you just drew as guidelines.

Step 4: Open the card and use your fingers to push up the tabs you just created in Step 3, so they pop up in the inside of the card.

Step 5: Glue larger piece of cardstock to the outside of your card with the tabs. This acts like a cover for your card, so you don’t have holes on the front where the tabs have been cut. (Make sure the popped out tabs do not get glue on them.)

Step 6: Color our printable Father's Day card icons or ones you’ve created yourself and cut them out.

Step 7: Place glue on the front of the pop-up tabs.

Step 8: Stick the images on and press until the glue is dry. (Be sure the icons are glued correctly on the pop-up tab or the card won’t close properly.)

Step 9: Write a personal message on the inside of the card.

Step 10: Place your card in an envelope and hand deliver it to your dad this Father’s Day!
