Homeschool Heroes: Meet Worship Leader Seth Condrey

If you would’ve asked Seth Condrey as a teenager if he was going to grow up to be a worship leader, the answer would’ve been a resounding no. For Seth, his journey to the cross and to being a worship leader was not an easy one.

Seth grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where he was homeschooled and raised in the church. Sadly, he encountered a Christianity motivated by fear and guilt which made him cynical about his Christian roots. A friend of Seth’s was God’s instrument to bring him back to the faith, and after much wrestling with God and searching for truth, Seth found a faith solid in God’s grace and transformational love.

“I’ve felt far from God’s grace before,” Condrey shared in an interview with Indie Vision Music, “but I also know that our heavenly Father loves us with the most powerful love known to man, a love that can free the most anxious of hearts.”

His music career began with his first album, My All, and his next Latin album, De Corazon A Corazon, won Spanish Language Album of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards. Seth leads worship in English and in Spanish thanks to his year in Argentina attending Bible college where he learned to speak Spanish. Seth continues to use his Spanish speaking to write songs and lead worship in Spanish in addition to spending time in Costa Rica sharing his reignited faith.

Seth’s path of leading worship and sharing his passion for the grace of God is just beginning. You can find him now touring with his worship group North Point InsideOut or leading worship in the greater Atlanta area where he lives with his wife of 12 years and their three beautiful children.
