Rock Rapids, IA (July 1, 2013) – Alpha Omega Publications will expand its popular Horizons Preschool program this fall by introducing a curriculum specifically designed for three-year-olds.
Horizons Preschool for Three’s is a faith-based homeschool curriculum that addresses children’s cognitive development, pre-reading and numeracy skills, language acquisition, and school readiness while strengthening their social, emotional, and spiritual development.
Featuring 40 weeks of lessons and activities, the program gives three-year-olds practice in language skills, matching, sequencing, counting, and other skills.
Developmental Highlights for Horizons Preschool for Three’s
• Foundations for reading, writing, and math are built through gospel stories, alphabet and number games, worksheets, creative art, music, and new vocabulary
• Social skills are acquired through interactive play. As children begin developing a sense of identity and character, group exercises and character-building activities allow them to explore personal interests and achieve positive self-esteem
•Fine motor skills required for writing are strengthened through cutting, painting, and coloring.
AOP introduced the Horizons product line in 1992. A Christian workbook curriculum for students in grades PreK-12, Horizons uses an effective spiral learning method based on the process of introduction, review, and reinforcement. The teacher-directed curriculum provides a high level of student/teacher interaction, as well as colorful and engaging lessons and an in-depth teacher’s guide. AOP expanded the brand in 2007 with the release of Horizons Preschool.
The Horizons Preschool for Three’s Set is on sale for $69.95 from Alpha Omega Publications. The set includes one student workbook, a workbook companion, a teacher’s guide, and a Bible story reader that includes hand-painted, original illustrations that bring 40 of the Bible’s best known and loved stories to life. Each item may also be purchased separately.
