Jiggly Gelatin Eggs

Have some fun this spring with these colorful, edible eggs. Try various colors and enjoy the fun of making and eating these jiggly gelatin treats.

What You Need
Boiling water
4 gelatin packages (any flavors)
Wisk
Bowl
12 plastic eggs
Plastic syringe
Empty egg carton
Canola oil/cooking spray
Scissors

Instructions
1. Prepare your egg mold by ensuring there is a hole on one end large enough to fill with a syringe. If needed, you can make the hole larger with a scissors.

2. Use oil or cooking spray on the inside of each plastic egg. This prevents the gelatin from sticking to the mold. Place the plastic eggs in the carton with the hole facing up.

3. If the plastic egg has holes on both ends, you can place a small spoonful of gelatin in the bottom of the egg carton before placing the plastic eggs in the carton. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until set. This blocks the holes and prevents gelatin from leaking out.

4. Combine 1 box of gelatin with 1/2 cup of boiling water. Stir until well dissolved.

5. Use the plastic syringe to fill each egg 1/8 full with the first color of gelatin. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

6. Repeat step 5 with the remaining colors of gelatin allowing each layer to set for 30 minutes. Once the molds are full, refrigerate the carton for at least 4 hours.

7. To unmold the gelatin, run each egg under hot tap water for about 3 seconds. Gently squeeze the egg and you should see the gelatin release from the mold. Slowly open the plastic egg and let the gelatin egg slide out.

**If you don’t have enough time to do multiple layers of gelatin, you can fill each egg with a different color of gelatin and refrigerate overnight.
