Rock Rapids, IA (August 7, 2013) – Doreen Tham, a six-year-old homeschool student from Malaysia, won first place in Alpha Omega Publications’ international coloring contest, which drew 570 entries from students aged 3-10.
The homeschool contest required three rounds of judging to narrow the colorful array of artwork down to three winners.
“Doreen is excited!” said her mother, Doris Lee. “She loves both coloring and art.”
For her outstanding efforts, AOP awarded Tham a complete set of Switched-On Schoolhouse™ curriculum and will feature her coloring contest entry in the September issue of its popular monthly eNewsletter, the Homeschool View. Janiya Williams, a 10-year-old from Winter Park, Florida, and Delaney Cobb, a five-year-old from the Bowling Green, Kentucky area, placed second and third respectively, and will also be featured.
