New Monarch Features

Alpha Omega Publications® continues to add exciting, user-friendly features to its new online homeschool curriculum, Monarch™! The latest updates include four new elements:

The Monarch calendar function includes enhanced date-range flexibility and allows homeschooling parents to schedule lessons on holidays and weekends. Simply use the "Lesson Plan" calendar area. Click on a day or a student's name to make a holiday or weekend a school day for an individual student or your entire homeschool.

A Reports Tab on the main navigation bar allows easier access to student information, including the Report Card, Grade Report, and Daily Work Report.

Improved drag and drop questions within the Monarch curriculum now feature an eye-appealing design and easier-to-use functionality.

Enhanced Quiz/Test Settings give you additional feedback options. Along with "Immediate Answer Feedback," you can also choose from the following settings:

No Answer Feedback - One attempt to answer each problem is permitted. After problems are graded, no changes can be made to the answers. Students do not see if the answers they submit are correct or wrong.

Open Page - Unlimited attempts to correctly answer questions within a single session are allowed. If students leave a quiz or test, they cannot see any other curriculum until they complete the session.

Open Book - Students have permission to read through the problems, leave the quiz or test, view already completed assignments, and return to the quiz or test. The quiz or test is not considered complete and ready for submission until "Mark as Complete" is selected.
Should you have any questions or need assistance in using any of Monarch's new features, please visit Monarch technical support online or call 888-891-4958. Our regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CT).

My daughter just started 6th Grade Bible. There are lots of pros and one con.

The pros are: it is easy to set up. It\'s online and totally accessible anywhere. It\'s simple to use. My daughter is more motivated with this program. There\'s no programs to install. It is also very cost-effective.

The con is the lessons seem to be incomplete. Today my daughter started with Creation. When she went to complete the lessons and the quiz, the program asked her questions that was not taught in the lesson.

I purchased one topic at at time, to see how she would like it and she is already considering going back to S.O.S., because of this.

I personally like the Monarch curriculum, but if it does not teach her completely, then she is not getting the proper schooling as I want her to have. I was well pleased with S.O.S, but I grasped the idea of the online version, (Monarch), because it was simple and I didn\'t have to install anything on my computer.

I hope the program can be reevaluated. I would love to keep using Monarch. If you need further information concerning my feedback, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks for everything you do. G-d bless!

I want to try Monarch math. I LOVE the fact that everything is online, but they don\'t give any samples. I\'m afraid to try it because I would be out over $50 if it doesn\'t do the trick.

We are getting ready to finish our first year home schooling. I am looking for something I can trust. We are leaning towards AOP Monarch. However, as a new Home schooler, there is so much to \"figure out\" that it makes me so nervous in starting something that is incomplete in there lessons. I need to trust the curriculum I purchase. I sure hope that AOP are able to get the kinks worked out quickly. I wonder what their plan is for working out the problems? A concerned greenhorn.

I purchased the Monarch Math program. We have been very unsatisfied with the program. AOP admits that this program is incomplete and should not have been released for purchase yet. However, and sadly for anyone who purchased the program, they are unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation. In other words, WE have become their research and development team. We were even told by customer service to \"try again\" in the fall. Yes, we have an 18 month subscription, but now I am paying the price for AOP\'s lack of competency. How\'s that for a great lesson for my child.

Well AOP??? Where are your answers to all these questions?? I attended a demo class last week and still didn\'t get all my questions about Monarch answered. The sale ends today. I am not comfortable ordering today. How about extending your sale for only Monarch items until you get your act together and offer samples and a money back option if it doesn\'t fit the family???????

i am not satisified at all with this program...i have been having issues with my homepage for over a week now and nothing has been done about it...i have called tech. support and sent numerous emails.....AOP should not be allowed to take our hard earned money for nothing in return........i would encourage anyone who is thinking about using AOP to reconsider....it is so frustrating for the teacher and the student when issues are not resolved within a timely manner......

Ruth & Jon A 08/26/2010 18:42:13

I have been having technical issues with this program that have not even been resolvable with a technician\'s intervention. I am spending my valuable time asking for help and then having the tech tell me that the system isn\'t working properly.

I also called the toll free number and left my name and phone number. I was not called back in 24 hours as I was promised by the message. This is poor customer service for the product, to be sure.

I would also like to suggest something; integrating and outlook calendar with your lessons so I can integrate my entire household schedule into one place would be VERY handy. Please consider doing this?

Hello Cassandra as well as Ruth & Jon,

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are sorry that your experience has been less than satisfactory and thank you so much for all of your feedback. We are working hard to be sure issues are addressed and things are working properly.
