Quite Possibly the World’s Most Delicious Fudge

Over the years, epic food pairings have emerged like macaroni and cheese, bacon and eggs, and milk and cookies. Yet, perhaps the most dynamic duo of them all is chocolate and peanut butter. This season, indulge yourself in this rich combination with this recipe for quite possibly the world’s most delicious fudge.

1. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 pan.

2. Melt the following three ingredients over medium heat. (Hint: a heavy-bottomed sauce pan will distribute the heat more evenly and prevent sticking.)
1 1/2 cups sugar
6 T butter
1/3 cup evaporated milk

3. Bring the ingredients to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes, stirring constantly to ensure all the sugar is dissolved.

4. Remove from the burner and stir in these three ingredients:
1 rounded cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup marshmallow creme
1/2 tsp. vanilla

5. Spread immediately in greased 9 x 13 pan. (Hint: use a teaspoon to layer the pan evenly.)

6. Chill the chocolate layer in the fridge until cool and firm. (Approximately 30-45 minutes)

7. Begin peanut butter layer. Melt first 3 ingredients as before.
1 1/2 cups sugar
6 T butter
1/3 cup evaporated milk

8. Bring the ingredients to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.

9. Remove from burner and stir in these three ingredients:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup marshmallow creme
1/2 tsp. vanilla

10. Spread on top of the first layer and chill before devouring (in moderation)...and sharing!
