Say This, Not That: Using Enforceable Statements as a Parent

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires” (James 1:19-20).
Being a parent is an awesome and rewarding responsibility, yet it can also be extremely challenging. Especially in our moments of frustration, the way we express ourselves and say things to our children can have a profound impact on them. To help raise our children to be respectful and responsible, make a conscientious effort to use enforceable statements and clear expectations and see the difference they can make in your homeschool.
