We have been using SOS for 6 years, and we LOVE IT! My 3 boys continue to test in the 99th percentile on standardized tests, which is proof in itself of how complete and challenging the curriculum truly is! My time spent correcting their work is minimal, which allows more time to stay on the move for our very active family. When we go visiting out of state, we take along our laptops and the boys can complete their school work wherever we are.

When my 5 year old was reading and comprehending the work of a 3rd grader, SOS was a perfect choice because it required the answers to be typed, not hand written, a skill he was actually delayed in due to Dysgraphia. Typing gave him the ability to answer in the eloquent complete sentences and to write essays that he could not have achieved had he needed to write with a pencil. SOS removed that frustration. We actually held off teaching him handwriting until this past year, when he turned 10. He was mature enough at that point to have success with the fine motor coordination required.
