According to a 1996 study by the Review of Educational Research, a lack of math study over the summer can result in a loss of up to two months of learning. To prevent the summer brain drain, explore these five math apps and websites that keep learning fun!

Cash Out
Intended for children aged 7-12, Cash Out lets students practice making change in a real-world type setting, as they try to earn different levels of certificates.

Math Evolve
Created by an elementary teacher, this game helps students attain automatic recall and master of math facts through solving equations in a dynamic game environment.

Mathmateer
In this iOS action game, players build a rocket to maintain enough “hangtime” to solve a series of math problems. The faster equations are completed, the more points players score.

Pick-a-Path
For students in grades 3-7, this game is played by navigating Okta, an octopus caught in a mathematical net. Students guide Okta by choosing a path that tests math skills with integers, factors, powers of ten, fractions, measurement, decimals, and exponents.
