The Most-Used Emojis of Homeschoolers

If you’re teaching Shakespeare in your homeschool this year, you know it’s a foregone conclusion that language will continue to change. In the world of computers in the world, that change has led to the massive rise in popularity of the emoji. Derived from Japanese words meaning “picture” and “character,” emojis can be considered the children of text-based emoticons, which can be traced back to 1982 : - ).
The emoji first appeared on Japanese mobile phones in 1999, but really boomed into pop culture in the 2010s. Today, the Unicode Standard list for computers has accepted over 2,500 emojis. With such a huge selection to choose from, it was difficult for our Facebook followers to pick just one emoji as their favorite, but eventually, over 120 people helped us compile this fun list of the most-used emojis of homeschoolers.
