Throughout this semester-long course, students in grades 9-12 study a career field with the simple goal of getting the right quantity of the right product to the right place at the right time in a cost-effective manner. Students also discover that this “simple” goal is quickly complicated by several issues, including changing consumer demands and the cost of efficient transportation. Purchase of this individual Monarch course grants access to one child for 18 months beginning on the date of activation.

Introduction to Careers in Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics takes a look at the different careers available in the transportation industry, as well as the planning that goes into making distribution systems run efficiently.
Topics of study throughout the semester include mass transportation, distribution, warehousing, automation in distribution, transportation systems, transportation regulations, and inventory management.
