A Homeschool Prayer to Begin Each New Day

“May God go before you to lead you, God go behind you to protect you, God go beneath you to support you, God go beside you to befriend you. Do not be afraid. May the blessing of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be upon you. Do not be afraid. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Amen.”

As you start each new homeschool day, may this prayer surround you with a sense of God’s presence in your life as you boldly teach your children about the greatness of a God who loves you more than you can possibly imagine.

May God go before you to lead you.
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long” (Psalm 25:4-5).

May God go behind you to protect you.
“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you” (Psalm 5:11).

May God go beneath you to support you.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

May God go beside you to befriend you.
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 4:10).

Do not be afraid. May the blessing of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be upon you.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

Do not be afraid. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Amen.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
