For Such a Time as This

As a homeschooling parent, do you realize what an awesome responsibility you have in shaping the life of one of God's children? God has placed a life in your hands for you to mold and influence. Who or what they will become is directly reflected by what you choose to do or not to do.
Queen Esther in the Old Testament knew such a great responsibility when her cousin Mordecai confronted her with the following words, "Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14)? Esther's power to save her Jewish kinsmen from Haman's evil plot balanced on her bravery to come before the king without an invitation, an act which was punishable by death if he refused her by not extending out his golden scepter. Esther knew that what she did or didn't do would shape the lives of many of God's people. Praise God, Esther fasted and prayed, and He used her in a mighty way.
What about you? The choices you make while you homeschool will also affect the future of others. The lives of your children and their offspring will forever be changed by the subjects you study, the disciplines you instill, and the Lord you teach your children to love. God has handed you a "golden scepter" of His blessing and given you the joy of teaching His children for such a time as this!
Father, what a great gift You have given to me! Help me to seek Your wisdom and see the eternal significance of our homeschooling. Thank You for the privilege of being part of Your wonderful plan. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What a wonderful Prayer! God, give me the bravery to make what is right for my family and for your plans with us. Homeschool my children is a privilege for such a time like this.
