Jesus Says T-shirts Started by Homeschool Dad and Graduate

A homeschool dad and a homeschool graduate have teamed up to launch a Kickstarter campaign to create t-shirts that feature the words of Jesus Christ.

According to Examiner.com, Mike McDaniel and Jessica Lewis conducted their own research and completed several prototypes before settling on ten Bible verses they felt could have the most impact for a modern audience.

“Most of the t-shirts marketed toward Christians just feature a random inspirational phrase or maybe a knock-off pop culture reference,” said McDaniel and Lewis in their Kickstarter video. “We wanted to go a little deeper, so we created ten designs featuring Bible verses which quote Jesus directly using some of the most popular and well-known passages, along with a few personal favorites.”

McDaniel used his experience as a graphic designer to make the shirts visually compelling while maintaining an emphasis on the message. However, for their dream to become a reality, the two need to raise $1,000 by Kickstarter’s January 13 deadline.

“We want to launch the Jesus Says t-shirt line because it seems there’s a lack of Christ-focused clothing out there,” said Lewis.
