Daily Focus Coming Soon!

Has your spiritual tank been running on empty? Is the joy of homeschooling a distant vapor in the past? If so, come and fill up on God's Word with the Daily Focus - a short, daily devotional for homeschoolers - by homeschoolers. Here's a sample:

God Is in the Dark

One of the favorite Bible songs my preschool children sang was “Who’s in the Middle of the Dark?”  During a time in their young lives when the unknown in the darkness frightened them, this song provided the courage they needed each night when I turned off the light.  I could hear them singing the answer, “God IS, I’m not afraid cause God is in the dark.”

Psalm 56:3 says, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”  What types of fears do homeschooling mothers face?  Probably the biggest is the fear of failing – to suddenly realize that homeschooling was a mistake and now our children will have to suffer.  II Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  Don’t allow Satan to use the darkness of an unknown future to trouble your heart.  God has given you a heart of love to motivate, a sound mind to instruct, and His power to handle daily decisions.  Trust Him one day at a time, and He will reassure you, too, that He is in the “middle” of your homeschooling day.

Lord, Sometimes I feel like I am in the middle of the dark; afraid of all the responsibility I have for homeschooling our children.  I pray that you take what I have prepared and use it to bless these children today.  Thank you for being there even when I cannot see you.  Help me to trust you more each day and realize that you are guiding us each step of the way. In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
Be encouraged and inspired to stay in the race of educating your children at home and find God's strength and purpose for each day's success. Sign up for the free Daily Focus email today!
