Generosity Challenge for Lent
Posted in Homeschool View on Tuesday, February 25, 2020
Originally a Catholic tradition, giving up something for lent to focus on one’s relationship with God has been adopted by Christians from many different backgrounds. Lent can be a time when we reorient ourselves towards spiritual things that matter most.
That’s why 40acts, a group based in the UK, chose the period of Lent to inspire others to put their faith into action through radical generosity. Generally during Lent, we give something up. Inspired by this practice, 40acts challenges people to see what can happen when we are simply willing to give.
Are you ready to act and live generously for 40 days? Anyone can join the challenge! In fact, 40acts has created a printable wall chart so your whole family can participate. However, if you’re personally looking to stretch your faith this Lent, hold yourself accountable and sign up for the 2020 challenge today. By signing up, you can wake up to a new a generosity challenge and a short biblical devotion every day during Lent (except Sundays).
